How it works
  1. 01 / 04

    Your phone says “No service”

Out in the hills, the nearest mast doesn’t reach. Trackers with a SIM card go silent, and they still charge you every month.

  2. 02 / 04

The collar knows where it is

The collar’s GPS knows where it is thanks to the satellites. It doesn’t need any signal for that.

  3. 03 / 04

And it tells you by radio, kilometres away

Like a walkie-talkie, but without the talking: it sends its position by radio, over ridges and ravines, and only you can see it.

  4. 04 / 04

Your phone puts it on the map

The receiver in your pocket passes it to your phone and you watch it move on the map. No fees, no SIM.

No service
The gear

A few devices. A lot less worry.

A collar for the dog and a pocket unit for each person: to follow your hunting pack, to run a driven hunt or to keep in touch with your family. Everything charges on the same charger.

Where we are

  1. 2024–2026

    Working prototype

Collar, receiver and phone app. The dog already shows up on the map with no signal, and only its owner can see it.

    Done
  2. 2026–27 season

Testing in the hills and on the farm

Real driven hunts and a real free-range livestock farm. We measure range, battery life and whatever goes wrong.

    Now
Who’s behind it

This isn’t made by a multinational.

We’ve been building Montered with our own hands since 2024: the collar, the receiver and the phone app. Today the prototype already works: the dog moves on the phone map in places with not a single bar of signal.

We make it for people we know: those who head out before dawn with their hunting pack, those who drive up every day to check the water, and those who were left without signal in the blackout.

We don’t want to sell you a promise. We want to test it with you, on your hunting ground or your farm, and hear what it’s still missing.

Try it before anyone else

We're looking for hunters, driven-hunt organisers, farmers and families to test it this season. The first on the list will get to try it before anyone else.

Questions

Does it really work with no signal?

Yes. The devices talk to each other by radio, like a walkie-talkie, without going through any phone mast. Your phone is just the screen: you download the map at home before you head out.

How far does it reach?

It depends on the terrain: kilometres in open country, less in deep, closed ravines. We'll publish the real figures from this season's field tests, not catalogue numbers.

Are there any fees?

No, and there never will be. You buy the gear once and the app is free, forever. No SIM card, no subscription, no contract. That's exactly what sets us apart from trackers that charge you every month.

Is it hard to use?

No. Switch on the collar, open the app and see your dog on the map. If you have any questions, message us on WhatsApp and we'll help.

Where does it work?

It uses a licence-free radio band in Europe (868 MHz), so it's designed for use in Europe. Other regions use different frequencies, so we can't promise it works there yet.

When can I buy it?

It's not on sale yet. We're testing it in the hills and on farms in Spain this season. Join the waitlist and you'll hear before anyone else, with no commitment.
